Pad coatings increase pad life

Pads coating can significantly increase pad life by strengthening the leading edge of the pad.  When the leading edge of a pad starts to shred it can make it significantly harder for the fans to pull air into a house.  In the above picture you can see that though the pad behind the coating is starting to deteriorate the leading edge is still sound.   Without the coating the pad would likely need to be replaced.
