Ammonia Measurement

Currently we are conducting two research projects in this area. The first is partnering with SS optical technologies in the developement of a new low cost ammonia sensors. Preliminary studies conducted on a farm last winter showed the new sensor capable of accurately measuring ammonia levels for long periods of time (weeks) which has traditional been a major problem for most affordable ammonia sensors.
The second project is evaluating the accuracy of a low cost ammonia concentration indicator manufacturered by Litmus FQI. Prelimary studies have shown that most of the time their ammonia indictor strips do an adequate job of accurately measuring long term ammonia concentrations, they may have tendency to over esimate ammonia concentrations in a house where there are large day/min variations in ammonia concentrations.
