Most fan manufacturers sell standard and high capacity versions of the many of their tunnel fan models. High capacity versions of tunnel fans typically move approximately 10% more air than the standard version thus allowing 10% fewer fans to be installed to achieve the desired tunnel wind speed. Though on the surface this appears to be a winning proposition, the problem is that high capacity fans use disproportionally more power than the standard versions. The end result is though you install fewer high capacity fans, you end up using far more electricity.
